I’m empty

No more to give or share with any human that needs

I have needs too, and no one suffices

Nothing is enough,

or adequate to fulfill this longing

I can only help myself

I search for contentment

Finding air where love should be

Coal where a heart should be held

Demanding my crave I must be brave

Hearing ‘No” and “Maybe” leads to apathy

So I’m doomed, what have I become?

Discovering I’m broken

Pieces lay in front of my feet

I stumble over every peace

Curiosity distressed my thoughts

I’m guilty of what’s lost,

Where’s my soul?
